--Just something I want to keep in my character sheet so that I can remember what my character has--A battered yellow shirt, a pair of tattered jeans, over 20 million taros, a pair of scratched up black-framed glasses, an energy pistol.
History
- History of History:
After a run-in with some of the first fusions, Samuel was separated from his sister and put on an ambulance, headed toward the city. The huge amount of blood loss from the gash on his back caused him to lose his memory.
- History:
He woke up on a rotting bed inside of a ruined hospital, in a ruined town. A large hole was in the wall in the hospital room he was in. Fallen debris was everywhere. The walls were covered crumbling with moss. Was he in an apocalypse? He tried to remember where he was. No such luck. He then tried to remember who he was. No luck either. He seemed to have forgotten his identity. Definitely an apocalypse-type setting. Of course, he still knew the English language, and still had knowledge of what things were; for instance, he had a "needle" stuck into his wrist that was connected to a near-empty liquid food bag and a non-functioning "heart-rate monitor" connected to his chest through "nerve plugs". He was wearing a dirty and ripped "hospital robe". He must have retrograde-source amnesia, for he didn't know who he was, and knew about things without remembering where that knowledge came from. He believed he must have been either an intellectual and/or a very curious one, for he seemed to be able to notice many small details around him and deduce them into useful information. It was hard to see farther than the edge of the bed; everything was blurry beyond that point. Shambling off the bed and plucking the needle and nerve plugs off of his body, he noticed a dented and rusted locker within the same room. He opened it and found a rotting wallet and a semi-large wooden chest He picked up the wallet first, because it might provide some information about his forgotten past. Within the wallet were some rotting and torn dollar bills, indicating his possible nationality and ethnicity as American. Along with it was a broken student I.D. card, with his apparent first name printed on the bottom, "Samuel", "6th grade" printed at the top, and a picture of a very young version of him. Based on the difference between the 6th grader Samuel and the him now, he believed him self to be in his 20s. This, and the fact he was in a ruined hospital, led him to believe that he had been in a coma for around 7 years. This was probably the cause of the amnesia. After all, his cerebrum would have been unused for 7 years, so of course he wouldn't remember anything about his identity until something jolted his brain awake. He put the wallet away into a pocket on his hospital robe. Also in the locker was a chest. Opening it, he found a bough of wilting roses. It had a tag on it, saying "March 7, 2043-Happy birthday, Samuel, age 13". This meant the last time that the liquid food bag was refilled was on this date. He could have survived up to at least 4 years, so he was around 17 or 18 years old. Now to find his exact age, he had to find out what the date was. Besides the bough of flowers was a pair of glasses; a tag on it saying "In case you ever wake up." It fit him perfectly. He could see clearly now. He then stood up and walked to the hole in the wall. He was a story up, and the area around the hospital was desolate just like the building. Looking back, there was nothing else to do. A fallen block of ceiling covered the entrance to his room, blocking the path out. So he jumped. If he died, he died. If he survived, he would set a very general, but important goal for himself: to find his past.

He walked around a huge lake of toxic green goop. He was beginning to think that this wasn't just your ordinary apocalypse, with all the green alien goopy things roaming around. He decided to use the temporary alias "backslash", because he had discovered a long scar from his left shoulder to his right hip on his back. This might have been the cause of the coma itself. He didn't think he would use the name anytime soon, because there was a small chance he would see another survivor. He had picked up a walking stick in the ruined town he was in, along with a can of beans he found in a surviving house and a dirty old backpack with a couple of holes in it. He had to find other people soon, because expired or not, a can of beans was only enough food to keep him from starving to death. An average person could survive for 3 weeks without food, but only 3 days without water. And he was definitely below average. He needed water, and fast, or else he would thirst to death in the middle of nowhere, alone. He just had to keep walking, and hope for the best.
- Presently...:
Margerie Venkman helped him get his memories back.
She was his only friend after Hank went off and disappeared somewhere.
He might have even developed some affection for her.
And now she's gone too...all because of his sister Rebecca.
Or at least, that what he wants to think, but deep down he knows it's his own fault too for being too weak.
Which is why he left as well...to get stronger, and also to escape from all these bad memories.
Now he's back...less weak, and more dead inside.
Still hates Rebecca.
- TL;DR/Your Writing Skills Suck:
He wakes up in the middle of nowhere in a ruined hospital, finding a pair of glasses and hints to his identity. Dressed in a hospital robe, he escapes to Nowhere after salvaging the town for supplies.
Presently, he has his memories back, along with his sister...

You need to add more to the personality, three traits are not going to cut it. Add in three positive and negative traits. More easily frightened than others is more of a personality trait and not a weakness and easily distracted is more a trait too. If you say how he's easily distracted it might be a viable weakness.

Add more to the personality and being able to see things over 30 feet away without glasses is rather good, not really a weakness.

He THINKS it's an apocalypse. He woke up without knowing Fuse or fusions existed...he's supposedly somewhere in the Middle of Nowhere right now.

Uh, there's only the farm house in Nowhere and not alot of fusion matter there. Just the Area 52 aka the nowhere triangle. Unless you're talking about a random middle of nowhere.

Overview
I have read your character and I got to admit, he is very interesting. The entire character is interesting and engaging. I like it. And looking at the fact that you were willing to change some aspects of this character means that you are willing to work together with other characters instead of staying the same.
Pros
Like I said, he is very interesting. Especially his history. I see him as very realistic of a character within the situation that you put him in. The whole waking up out of a coma and not knowing who he was is just brilliant for a character. You sort of gave him a blank slate when it comes to characterization, but gave him just enough of a character to start off with. Even with his strengths and weaknesses, you gave him a very humanistic traits with a slight hint of humor. Humor is good for a character, giving a proper break for him.
Cons
There is not much to nitpick here in your character. Everything makes sense character wise. However, I do like to know what he'd wear, eventually, once he ditches his hospital gown. I don't think he'll stay in that garb in the entirety of the RP. I mean: He's probably going to start wearing that, but will he get other clothes. Another thing: What will he do to survive since he probably won't have any Taros, or at least a minimal amount to begin with? It's a minor thing and they both can intertwine as part of his characterization later on. One more point: The nano thing. I like that you said he doesn't know, but will he use them once he learns about them? And when so, what nano might he choose? Like I said, a minor nitpick, but can be done through characterization through the RP.
Conclusion
With my thoughts in place, I like what I see on here. Nothing major to bug me because it was so good. I enjoyed it very much and was instantly drawn into the character. Here's the point where I say yea or nay on the character. Without a doubt in mind, I will accept him.

Thanks for the great feedback (and acceptance)! Yes, I am planning to have him change through characterization, and have him like appear somewhere "uncharted". Also I need to think of a better alias, "backstab" just doesn't seem very.....good? I just thought of it on the spot.techee wrote:Overview

EDIT: Alright, I changed it to "backslash". It makes more sense then "backstab" cause he wasn't really stabbed, cause he has a huge scar from his shoulder to his hip. And it rolls off the tongue easier too.
EDIT 2: Oh and I made the coma history for 2 reasons:
1. This is my first OC and I haven't really delved into the history of this roleplay yet, so I wanted to make a character with no idea of what's going on.
2. It seemed original, and I liked it when I brainstormed over it, so I chose it.
