"Yeah... ok..." Jon loosely followed her intelligent talk but he knew he was in good hands. Almost like his mother were taking care of him. She was very smart obviously. He silently watched her patch up the hole in his arm and didn't even complain when she disinfected it.

(Remember, don't describe what another character is doing before they do it. She hasn't begun yet because the nurse didn't return.)

The nurse returned with the necessary equipment. The nurse prepped everything until it was ready and wheeled it over to the girl's side. She then took her place on the opposite side of Jon, facing the girl. The girl took a cotton ball, dapped some liquid on it, and moved it to the arm so she could begin the disinfection.

"Where did you get the injury?" the girl asked to keep his mind active and awake.

(Sorry, I didn't know she went anywhere.)

"Well, it began with just a morning walk to the office, I was feeling uneasy, and all of a sudden, these Asphalt Theifs, three of them, came out from behind a street corner, I think." Jon slowly articulated his words to try and comply with her telling him not to doze off. "I killed one, then another got its drill in my arm. It hurt.. oh the memory even hurts... but I killed the others and came here as fast as I could." It already started to feel like a distant memory to Jon.

The girl nodded, pulling out the cotton swab. She grabbed another cotton swab and poured the antibiotic onto that before going back to his wound.

"Sounds like you were prepared. Do you always travel alone?" she questioned.

"Well, since.. ahem, my adopted mother was killed.. by fusions... I don't really have anyone to talk to much. It gets lonely, but this deal I was hoping to get on an apartment will give me some neighbors to talk to." Jon didn't want to go into details about his adoptive mothers death. But he still felt comfortable enough to even share that piece of information, as he never talked about it in front of anyone else. "I'm also planning to buy a hover board, if the deal goes as I think it will and I have a bit extra."

The girl pauses in her ministration to send him a sympathetic look. This wasn't the first time she'd heard a patient mention the death of a relative at the hands of a Fusion; nor would this be the last.

"Sorry, about your mother," she said before going back to her work. "Hopefully everything will work out for you in the end."

"It did. I've moved on as much as I could. Thank you as well, for helping me." He stared, not really at anything as he spaced out while listening to the sound of her working away at his arm. She was good, very good, he thought.

The girl pulled the swab away and grabbed the gauze tape.

"Hopefully your neighbors are worth talking to. It's pretty dangerous to be walking around alone, day or night," the girl said.

The girl began to tape up Jon's arm over where the wound was.

"Yeah, well, what i really need is one of those nanos! I've been dying to get one, and have been looking forever for someone to help me acquire one." Jon suddenly spurted out. He was already thinking of what he would do when he got out of the hospital. "A bit tight on the gauze, but ok."

"Sorry, I'll loosen it a little so the blood doesn't constrict," the girl responded, doing as she said. "Nanos are rare nowadays. Very few people have them, and even fewer use them. I mostly use my Nanos for my work."

"Right, right. I would probably use mine to help me when I am by myself. I wouldn't just go out into the wilds or whatever and shoot the place up. I have some common sense," Jon replied. He was really smarter than those people who did that. Getting themselves killed during an important war. Fools.
"Oh, I'm sorry, I don't even know your name yet to be rambling on so long. I haven't met many since I went into what I called a mini depression. I got over it, and I'm trying to meet new people."

"Kyra," the girl replied, taping up the gauze and placing it down. "And I didn't get yours."

"Yeah... sorry. It's Jon. Nice to properly meet you. Oh, the wrappings finished?" Jon really thought they could be good friends or something. They just seemed to... click in his mind.
Since she seemed willing, he kept talking about himself. "I dont really know a lot about medicine, but I do know about Fusion gases some. You see, I work with decontamination of infected zones so there is at least a few places to get to without falling into fusion matter or stepping in it. 'Fusion Decontamination Specialist' is what I like to call it. Big name and all, but simple task. Kind of simple. Ok not simple at all."

Kyra snipped the gauze and tapes it so it'll stay in place.

"Do you have some sort of equipment to handle the Fusion Matter? Like a protection?" Kyra questioned, checking over a hypospray.

"Kind of. I have this special hazmat suit...that protects from the gas..." Jon's eyes widened in realization of what he had done earlier. "Oh no. I left it in the battle! If anyone were to take it I would be out of a job!" Jon then just slid back down into his seat with a look of regret. "Actually I also have this wand type thing that dissolves a tiny bit of matter, but it is extremely dangerous, not to be handled at all without the hazmat suit. I could probably just pick up my hazmat suit. Never mind that."

Kyra nodded, handing the hypospray to the nurse on the other side of Jon.

"A Nano would be helpful with your job. Some have this power known as Freedom, and it protects you from Fusion Matter," Kyra explained.

The nurse double checks the hypospray before inserting it against Jon's skin. The chemical inside flows through Jon's body, seeking out and eradicating any unwanted Fusion Matter that had been introduced to the body through the open wound.

"You are absolutely right, and I haven't even thought about that until just now. A nano could help me with my work. A job nano, like yours I guess. Plus I do have this small container that I keep that has a lot of extra fusion matter. Don't freak, it's just for containment and maybe I could change a nano's power if he could learn Freedom." Jon was a bit tired after that hypospray went through his system. "Do you mind if I rest here a while longer? To fully heal, I guess?"

"I was going to suggest it. It'll take a couple minutes for the effect to finish, so it's best if you stay here until it's finished," Kyra answered. "Wandering around while under its effects could leave you in more danger than you started in."

Jon openly grinned a bit. "Could I... *yawn* take a short nap? If you don't mind, of course. I'm not in a big hurry."

The nurse took the equipment and left the room.

"Go ahead," Kyra replied. "Stay as long as you need. When you're ready to go, just sign yourself out at the nurse station." She turned and made her way for the door. "Have a nice nap."

"Thank you. See you then..." Jon quickly fell into a restful nap, with surprisingly good dreams after what he had been through. He thought to himself while drifting off into the embrace of sleeping, "I hope Kyra stops by my new place sometime..."

Thanks for helping me get started, I think I am good for this boot camp. You can lock it down or take it down, I don't really mind what you do with it.
