Necromancy
Necromancy
The magical art of raising forth the dead; the slumbering masses of the undead, an army of boundless manpower, corpses as your own puppets to control.
Necromancy CAN:
- Resurrect the dead with control over the individual(s). NO Sentiency, along with full recollection of the deceased. Effect varies with the number of individuals resurrected, duration and time since death.
- Summon all manner of the undead.; from hordes of mindless zombies to monsters formed of corpses.
Necromancy CAN NOT:
- Fully revive someone from death.
- Grant the user immortality
- Hold control over Grim Reapers.
A Necromancer's growth is exponential; whilst a fledgling may struggle to maintain two corpses, your average practitioner can summon a dozen of the undead. On the other hand a fully learned Necromancer is capable of summoning forth an army along with all sorts of undead monsters.
If you happen to be a practitioner of Necromancy, you are immediately on Grim's list of hated individuals as resurrection disrupts the natural cycle of life and death.
List of Undead Summons (can be added to):
- Skeletons - The most basic form of the undead, flesh and entrails all rotten away, leaving naught but a collection of bones. [Fledgling]
- Corpses - Slightly more competent than Skeletons, where they can with stand more hits, but are easily susceptible to incendiary damage. [Fledgling]
- Undead Beasts - From a galloping steed to a pack of wolves, animal corpses are operable to the practitioner of the dark arts. [Apprentice]
- Undead Warriors - Knights, samurais, archers, calvary-men, cannoneers, bombardiers, guns-men, any sort of warriors that has ever lived is at your beck and call with all their weapons and skills. [Experienced]
- Behemoths - A 18ft tall mess of human flesh unnaturally melded together, assortments of limbs eager to grab victims. The undead polymelian is resistant to most conventional forms of damage. [Experienced]
- Wraiths - The undead without no physical form but a dark hooded cloak, they rip and tear apart whoever their Necromancer commands. Leaving areas cold and desolate wherever they go. Though mostly intangible they are especially weak to light-based attacks. [Master]
- Undead Dragons - The rotting reanimated corpses of once-majestic fire-breathing winged creatures. Though a shadow of their former selves, they are more then capable of reducing what stands in their path to scorched rubble. [Master]
- Leviathans - At a height of 38ft, dwarfing even the Behemoths, these walking collection of human bodies shaped into a serpent with countless legs, its very trails leave behind crevasses. Using only their brute strength and size, they are a near-unstoppable force. Only one can ever been summoned at once. [Legendary]
Tiers of Necromancy/Years Worth of Study (ascending order):
- Fledgling - 1
- Apprentice - 2~6
- Experienced - 6~12
- Master - 12~30
- Legendary - 30+
With each tier gained a Necromancer's control over their summons grow, along with the number, quality and duration of such. The gaps between each tier's power becomes absurd as they progress.

Re: Necromancy
Just from a very wide perspective, isn't that a little op? Necromancy usually isn't limited to just one person, so theoretically if you had a few dozen necromancers, then you could virtually take on any army (including Fuse's) no problem. At least that's what I think.

Re: Necromancy
I like the idea, truly I do. I think that Necromancy is an awesome idea. Couldn't Necromancy also dabble with bones, so perhaps a limited form of Osteokinesis, or even blood magic? This has great potential.

Re: Necromancy
Very well thought out and written, but I'm afraid we've already addressed the issues of dealing with matters of the dead: it's off-limits. Grim is in charge of the dead, and Demongo is the resident soul-collector.
Re: Necromancy
Dang, I thought it would be alright since my necromancy is just the ability to reanimate corpses but oh well^
