LOG 1:
Having already finished the week's supply of books, I have decided I would start logging the differences in my daily life into this journal, hopefully ridding me of this boredom.

LOG 24:
Today, I started asking my dad for some of his spare parts, since he always complained about nails, screws, and bolts rusting before he could use them.
I'm gonna begin experimenting with some of these, to, hopefully, get a physical representation of the stuff the books talk about.

Re: Kendrick Lehmington's Log
LOG 42:
Experiments:
#23-
Name:
Water Purification
Description:
Dug a canal to draw sea-water from the nearby ocean.
Draw O2 (oxygen) from air using Oxygen Emphasizer from experiment #18 (Log 37) to bond with NaCl (salt) in H2O (water) to create NaClO (sodium hypochlorite), using Chemical Injector from experiment #2 (Log 27), effectively killing bacteria and disease in water.
Use Makeshift Thermometer from experiment #16 (Log 36) to boil water at exactly 100C.
Must be very careful; sodium hypochlorite has boiling point at 101C.
Collect almost-pure H2O to recondense, dump sodium hypochlorite.
--------------------
Other:
Over the span of 5 days, I have managed to dig a small canal, so that water from the ocean on the other side of Area 51.5 (as my parents call it) may flow to my house.
Managing to purify the water, I now have a steady supply of drinking water. I am planning to better automate this system, and expand the canal for more water.
Is this what pure water tastes like?! Like the coolness of night in the middle of the day? This is much unlike the water that my mother buys and sends to me.
This is bliss. I shall never writhe with parched lips in my sleep ever again, the way this is going.
If only the food could taste somewhere even close to this.

LOG 67:
Experiments:
#44-
Name:
Wheat Revitalization
Description:
Use Decarbonizer from experiment #40 (Log 62) to extract carbon from deoxyribonucleic acid remnants within hardtack flour.
Separate yeast and wheat seed deoxyribonucleic acid samples
Fill missing carbon holes within deoxyribonucleic acid.
Revitalize wheat seed and yeast from remaining C5H5N5O (guanine), C4H5N3O (cytosine), C5H5N5 (adenine), and C5H6N2O2 (thymine).
--------------------
Other:
With the plentiful amounts of water I have from experiment #23, I'll hopefully cultivate this small wheat seed, and transform it into a whole wheat farm.
Screw all that hardtack stuff, hopefully I can eventually get enough wheat and yeast to bake enough bread and have 3 meals a day.

LOG 235:
Experiments:
#232-
Name:
Biosynthesis
Description:
Recycle deoxyribonucleic acid of wheat to get C5H5N5O (guanine), C4H5N3O (cytosine), C5H5N5 (adenine), and C5H6N2O2 (thymine).
Recombine guanine, cytosine, adenine, and thymine into deoxyribonucleic acid of grape.
Revitalize into simple grape using DNA Resynthesizer (Experiment #201, Log 207).
--------------------
Other:
Damn! The grape was a fail.
Something went wrong, either in the DNA Resynthesizer, or perhaps some other unknown variables that I was unable to control.
The grape that came out of the Resynthesizer was completely white. A completely spotless, white, blob. That's not the only thing that was different about it. It apparently contained approximately 5 pounds of unknown chemicals. I accidentally dropped it, and it immediately blew up. Green, purple, red, and blue liquid spurted everywhere, strangely evaporating as soon as the stuff hit something.
Even more strange, as some of it got onto my hair, instead of evaporating, it immediately got absorbed, turning my once brown hair into multiple splatters of purple, green, red, and blue.
Washing it off with water has proved impossible.
I have yet to discover what these chemicals might be, but I'm not gonna mess with biosynthesis again until my technology is more sophisticated.

LOG 289:
Experiments:
None
--------------------
Other:
My father hasn't come to resupply for the last 2 weeks.
I'm beginning to worry.
I'm starting to run out of parts,
I hope he comes soon.

LOG 291:
Experiments:
None
--------------------
Other:
It's already been almost a year.
It's always the same thing everyday now; wake up, cook, eat, sleep.
I'm starting to delusionize that my dad might actually be dead.

LOG 292:
Experiments:
None
--------------------
Other:
Dad came home!
Strangely, Mom came with him...
They both look most different from before.
I don't think their skin was green like that...
Wonder what happened to the car in the past year?
I must greet them, I feel sorry that they had to walk all the way here.

LOG 293:
It seems my parents are dead.
Since when, I do not know, but no fact can change that they are deceased.
I must find a new place to make my own.
